The biggest reason I do not use flash is because some search engines simply cannot index those pages and the other reason is that flash takes a long time to load in some systems. Artist have to think about two things; 1) Do they want a flashy site that compete against their artwork? Or 2) want a super functional site that is easy navigation and quick loading?

Remember, the longer someone ( art collectors ) has to wait for a page to load, your potential sale is gone. You have only a few seconds to grab their attention and draw them in or you can kiss that potential sale and repeat goodbye forever.

This is one thing I cannot get my head around with some flash websites out there, they take forever to load, hard to navigate and not functional. Sure they are pretty, but what do you want, pretty or make sales?

If you absolutely would like to use flash, ArtSoft does give you the option as it allows you to completely customize your home page however you see fit via your own custom HTML.

When I created this system I had the collectors and potential buyers in mind as I wanted to create a solution that was easy to navigate, fast loading and a nice look and feel, plus more.

I am not just a person that had an idea to write software, this solution was developed from a need I had as an artist, I make 90% of my living from my art sales and every solution I found lacked so much of what I needed so I ended creating ArtSoft. ArtSoft more of a living system, the reason I say this is because, every time I or another ArtSoft Artist has a real world need, I add it to the system so everyone using it can benefit. My goal is to make this a community where like minded people can come together, share ideas and get their artwork in the hands of collectors!

Again, this is not just a simple website to display images, but rather a complete solution designed explicitly for artist.
