Some people love the artistic side of photography others are drawn to the technical side.
I am more of the artistic type. That doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy working in the modern day “light room” of Photo Shop, I am happy to spend hours working at my computer on my images, but I am not a programmer.
I knew for quite sometime that I wanted to create a website to display and promote my images but to me it became a daunting task. As I researched what was involved with creating my own site, I was overwhelmed with the task ahead and so kept putting it off.
I don’t know about you but I would much rather be out creating new Images than sitting down and learning to write code.
Then I found ArtSoft, the software created by Kevin Saitta. Kevin isn’t just a programmer, but is also a fellow photographer. He knows what is important to an artist who is looking for a simple solution to display, promote, catalog and sell their work on-line.
ArtSoft is amazingly simple to use! Kevin was extremely patient with me and talked me through the whole start-up process. Once the look of the site was created, it then becomes very easy to upload and manage the location of your portfolios. New images can be added instantly, just by utilizing the simple up-load module provided in ArtSoft.
At this point I don’t even begin to use all of the tools and features available in the program, but to me that’s the beauty of the program. You can use the features you need today and take advantage of the additional features as needed.
Kevin offers the option of an inexpensive maintenance program, which is a no-brainer. Art soft is continually updated and as a maintenance subscriber, new features are automatically added. Kevin listens to the feedback and requests of his users to continue the evolution of ArtSoft.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, professional, easy to use web-site development system this is it!
I am a large format, landscape photographer living in South West Florida. You can visit my web site at www.timeandlight.com.
